Day 27: Easter Bounty

"I take it you have no love of the Empire." Welcome back thirsty readers, and thank you for joining me on day 27 of cocktails and quarantine. As promised, I'm keeping Sundays Star Wars themed, but I hadn't planned on the fact we'd be having one of those on Easter. Everyone seems a bit fed up with how things have been going, and I'm guessing those Easter tables might be lacking the "bounty" we desire. It seemed only right that we turn to the great seeker of bounty himself, Boba Fett.

Hired by Darth Vader to kidnap Han Solo, Boba Fett has achieved a cult status among Star Wars fans. In the original trilogy, he has a very mysterious persona, but we learn more about his origins in Attack of the Clones. It turns out, Boba is the cloned "son" of bounty hunter Jango Fett. The bounty hunter concept became even more popular with the release of The Mandalorian, a series based entirely on a bounty hunter of the same kind. I guess I thought of this because Easter is a day usually associated with a large bounty or feast. So many of us don't have the option of seeing our families right now, so things we can whip up at home might be the only kind of bounty we have. Maybe a tropical drink will help.

Easter Bounty

1.5oz London Dry Gin

.5oz Cynar

.5oz Passion Fruit Syrup

.5oz Vanilla Syrup

.5oz Lemon Juice

1oz Pineapple Juice

1oz Coconut Cream

Tiki Mug

In blender, combine with 2 cups of crushed ice.

Blend until fully smooth.

Garnish with Pineapple fronds, parasol, and flower.

*Don't be surprised if this drink comes out a bit large. It's not all going to fit in a standard sized mug.*

Feel free to blend up multiples of these, if you have family to share the bounty with. I know my usual taste-testers weren't upset with this one. I hope everyone enjoys their Easter and isn't becoming too stir-crazy. Be good to each other and keep shaking.
